Connect with Thermo Fisher Scientific’s team of experts at AAPS 2026 PharmSci 360 to explore how we can help biotech and pharma companies make smarter, more strategic decisions earlier in the drug development journey and solve complex formulation challenges quickly so they can scale with confidence.
Our integrated CDMO services span API and drug product development, formulation, analytical testing, clinical and commercial manufacturing, packaging, supply chain, and regulatory support for small and large molecules. These capabilities are supported by an expansive network of state-of-the-art facilities, experienced scientific teams, and a strong regulatory track record.
This talk explores challenges with poorly soluble compounds and the technologies used to help improve bioavailability. Our approach leverages an internally developed in-silico platform to aid prediction of technologies and formulation strategies based on the API’s structure and physicochemical properties, facilitating material-sparing early development and screening to assess performance and stability. Various enabling technologies for amorphous dispersion (spray drying, hot-melt extrusion, KinetiSol™, etc.) will be discussed, highlighting advantages, limitations, scale-up, and manufacturability, as well as case studies demonstrating scalable solutions from feasibility through commercialization.
